Halloween is almost here! Our communities, like Cove at Lady Lake<\/a> and Mystic Cove<\/a> (pictured above)<\/span><\/span> have already decorated to celebrate the holiday! There’s still some time before the big day, so here are some quick safety tips to keep in mind as you trick or treat at your favorite places.<\/p>\n

\n
• Choosing your costume<\/b>: Make sure you select a costume comfortable enough to wear for a long night of trick or treating! It’s important to have a costume that fits well and doesn’t have loose elements that could be tripping hazards.<\/li>\n
• Trick or Treat!<\/b>: Now on to the fun part! Make sure you stick with a group and stay on sidewalks whenever possible as you travel around for treats. Keep your eyes on the path and away from cellphones (although they do work well as flashlights). And drivers, be extra vigilant!<\/li>\n
• Eating sweets: <\/b>It’s important to keep from eating your sweets until you get home to make sure they’re all safe to eat. Inspect for food allergies, tampered packaging, and choking hazards before enjoying!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
