• As tempting as it may be to stop by your nearest coffee chain for a pick-me-up, doing this on a daily basis can have a huge impact on your finances. According to a recent study, the average American spends $1,100 on coffee a year! You will probably spend much less by brewing your cup of coffee at home.<\/li>\n

• If you’re taking toll roads back and forth to work, see if there’s an alternate route to avoid the tolls. You might find the amount you’re currently spending isn’t worth the time you’re saving.<\/li>\n

• Eating out often can also be a large expense. Whether it’s fast food or a sit-down restaurant, eating out is usually more costly than preparing your own food. For the days that you do<\/i> want to go grab a bite to eat, consider ordering a glass of water instead of a soda or flavored drink and you’ll find yourself saving a bit of cash along the way.<\/li>\n

• Speaking of water, consider getting a refillable container with a filter instead of buying bottled water!<\/li>\n

• Many of the services we pay for on a monthly basis are going green or paperless. Some of these companies offer savings for setting up online bill payments. You’ll be surprised at how much money you’ll save by paying your bills online.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
